Desperado and Kasai's final match is on 6/24.
The finals of New Japan Pro-Wrestling's Best of the Super Juniors tournament took place on June 1st. There was a six-man tag on the show that saw Dragon Dia, Ninja Mack, and Hiroshi Tanahashi take on Yuya Uemura, TAKA Michinoku, and IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion El Desperado.
Tanahashi, Mack, and Dia emerged victorious, and post-match, there were faceoffs in the ring. Desperado was last to exit but before he could, Jun Kasai showed up.
Kasai and Desperado are scheduled to clash on June 24th in what is being billed as their final match against one another.
Kasai handed Desperado an envelope and called it the 'Deathpain Invitational.' That was a callback to when Desperado had his 'Despe Invitacional' and Kasai was invited.
If Desperado retains the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Title at Dominion on June 15th, he'll go into the match against Kasai as champion.
