We heard about ten days ago that NXT's recent import, Japanese standout female wrestler Kairi Sane (formerly Kairi Hojo) had sustained a concussion during filming of the Mae Young Classic on July 14.
We reported yesterday that she would be making her NXT debut at a Florida Loop Live Event in St. Petersburg last night, apparently medically cleared from the concussion and ready to get back in the ring.
Well, get back in the ring she did, and she certainly left an impression ... on Billie Kay's sternum.
Sane teamed with Dakota Kai and Aaliyah to defeat the Iconic Duo of Billie Kay & Peyton Royce and their partner, former MMA fighter Shayna Baszler.
Kai and Baszler are both also in the Mae Young Classic. Sane was a pre-tournament favorite for the MYC, which drops the first four episodes on the WWE Network on August 28.
