Kalisto Challenges Cedric Alexander At Greatest Royal Rumble

Kalisto has a chance to become a two-time Cruiserweight Champion.

In a gauntlet match which took up the majority of the 205 Live broadcast, Kalisto was the last entrant and defeated Drew Gulak who had already defeated two other wrestlers earlier in the match. Kalisto will face Cedric Alexander at the Greatest Royal Rumble event on April 27th for Alexander's WWE Cruiserweight Championship.

The following is an excerpt from the Fightful Wrestling live coverage provided by Ryan Cook.

Kalisto attacks Gulak at ringside after dropkicking him out of the ring before the match even starts, then Gulak sidesteps a tope to the outside, sending Kalisto head first into the barricade. Kalisto gets back in the ring at the count of nine before Drew stomps on him and goes for the Gulock, but Kalisto rolls out onto the apron before Gulak puts him back into the ring and hits a suplex for a quick two count. Gulak drops Kalisto across the top rope before locking in the Gulock, but Kalisto rolls through and hits the Solida del Sol for the pin and the win.

Winner: Kalisto defeats Drew Gulak via pinfall with the Solida del Sol to earn a title shot against Cedric Alexander this Friday afternoon at the Greatest Royal Rumble.

Also during the Greatest Royal Rumble event will be six other championship matches including a steel cage match between Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns. During the network special, there will be a 50-man Royal Rumble with Rey Mysterio Jr, Great Khali, Mark Henry, Chris Jericho, and Big Show already announced as participants.

Fightful Wrestling will have live coverage and a recapping podcast for the Greatest Royal Rumble event.
