Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson (The Good Brothers) had a chance to regain the IMPACT Tag Team Titles at IMPACT Rebellion, but came up short in their quest against FinJuice (David Finlay & Juice Robinson).
The Good Brothers are former IMPACT Tag Team Champions and one of the more decorated tag titles in recent times as they've also held the IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Titles, WWE Raw Tag Team Titles, and were crowned the Best Tag Team in the World at WWE Crown Jewel 2019 when they won the WWE Tag Team World Cup.
Speaking on Talk N Shop, Gallows asked Anderson about not winning at IMPACT Rebellion.
"I think it's a great idea that we don't get them," said Anderson, with his point being that they already have plenty of accolades as a team.
IMPACT Rebellion was one of the biggest shows in IMPACT history as it was headlined by Kenny Omega vs. Rich Swann in a AEW World Title vs. IMPACT World Title dream match.
Gallows said of the buy rate, "The highest buy rate in IMPACT Wrestling history, I heard it come out of Don Callis' mouth."
Anderson clarified that it was the second biggest behind Slammiversary 2020 when the Good Brothers debuted.
The exact buy rate for IMPACT Rebellion is unknown.
Gallows discussed his outfit for the night saying, "Don Callis looked at me, I had on a Superstar Billy Graham tye-dye shirt, I looked like a buffoon and we have a reason for that. We said, if we're going to be heels and the Young Bucks are going to be heels too, let's fully commit and get real heat. Let's not be the cool NWO heels, let's be dicks. We're still cool enough. Don looked at me and said, 'We haven't had a title unification match in 40 years. If you could take that off, that'd be great.' I said, 'Okay.' Point taken, feelings hurt, but I get it."
Though The Good Brothers were not successful at IMPACT Rebellion, Omega was, winning the IMPACT World Title.
Omega and The Good Brothers will team up at IMPACT Under Siege to battle Eddie Edwards & FinJuice.
