Karrion Kross: The Last Few Months Of My WWE Career Were Really Bizarre

Karrion Kross isn't one to mince words.

Former WWE stars Karrion Kross and partner Scarlett Bordeaux were released from WWE on November 4 due to 'budget cuts', a move that caught the pair by surprise.

"I was trying to make sure that I didn't come off salty about anything but yeah, I'm disappointed," Kross admitted when appearing on Oral Sessions with Renée Paquette. "But at the same time, I try to keep stuff in perspective about the experience I had, people I met and got to work with, the life I was afforded by working there, but at the same time, I can't bullshit people and pretend like the last couple months of my career there weren't really bizarre. I was relieved because this was not the best version of myself as a performer and my hands were tired. That's kind of part of the deal. I didn't really have any sort of sympathy for myself and I wasn't bitter about the whole thing. I was just disappointed and I was like, 'I would love to make this work,' but it was not working. I was ready to move on. I don't mean that to sound like an asshole, I was grateful."

Scarlett then spoke about her release, saying she believed she had so much more to show the WWE audience, especially as an in-ring performer.

"When it came down to being a wrestler, it was never about the money," said Scarlett. "We didn't want to have office 9-5 jobs. We got into this because we love being creative and performing. If it came down to it, we'd rather take less money and love our lives. We don't need that much. I wasn't relieved immediately, I was pissed because I felt there was still so much we had to do. I was ready to wrestle and show people all these things I could do. Then, I was excited because the last four months I was literally sitting at home, trying to pass the time and I wasn't even allowed to bump or train. I was ready to go and perform. The moment I was released, I was like, 'Great, I'm going to start to travel again and perform.'"

Both Scarlett and Kross have been busy in their post-WWE careers as Fightful Select first reported (and was confirmed by the pair themselves) Kross has landed a role in an upcoming action film, which Scarlett will also make an appearance in.
