On Friday, she received an email saying her visa will expire next month and she will have to "sell everything she has achieved" after moving to America at 18 to pursue a career in wrestling.

Cortez signed with WWE in August 2019. Her first television appearance came on the November 4, 2019 episode of WWE Raw where she appeared as Carolina and teamed with Sin Cara in a loss to Zelina Vega & Andrade.

She returned to NXT after the match, but didn't return to television until the January 15, 2020 episode of NXT where she competed in the NXT Women's Title #1 Contendership Battle Royal. She had been a regular on 205 Live before her release.

Many former WWE talents have struggled with visa issues following their release including The IInspiration (Jessica McKay & Cassie Lee) and JONAH (Bronson Reed). JONAH recently noted that he was unable to appear at IMPACT Bound For Glory due to visa issues.
