Katsuyori Shibata Not Medically Cleared Following AEW Tailgate Brawl

Katsuyori Shibata is not medically cleared to compete and has been medically suspended by AEW.

Tony Khan made the announcement on social media ahead of AEW Dynamite.

Shibata took on Daniel Garcia at AEW Tailgate Brawl, the pre-show for AEW All Out. Khan noted that the piledriver and curb stomp damaged Shibata, which is why he isn’t cleared.

It is unknown when Shibata will return to the ring.

Shibata is one-third of the AEW Trios Champions alongside Powerhouse Hobbs and Samoa Joe.
