Keith Lee Calls Sharing Ring With Brock Lesnar "Intense," Says Roman Reigns Wants Singles Match

Keith Lee has had a whirlwind couple of months dating back to WWE Survivor Series 2019. On that night, Lee represented Team NXT in the Men's Survivor Series Elimination Match, making it to the end before losing to Roman Reigns.

After the bout, Reigns and Lee shared a fist bump with Reigns showing respect for his opponent.

Appearing on WWE Backstage, Lee discussed sharing the ring with Reigns and what "The Big Dog" said to him after the match.

"That day was just as intense. A day where, I didn't know what was going on and I ended up being one of the last three in the main event match. Quite the squabble with Roman Reigns, the first person to kick out of the Spirit Bomb and then he speared me out of my boots and onto my neck. After that [the fist bump], set a tone for me. He told me, straight up, 'I want a one-on-one match with you.' I'd be honored," he said.

Months later, Lee stepped in the ring with Brock Lesnar at WWE Royal Rumble. Though Lee was eliminated by Lesnar, the facial expression and words muttered by Lesnar helped highlight the presence of Lee before he even entered the ring.

"It was intense," Lee said of being in the ring with Lesnar. "When you get into the ring with someone who is a specimen like that, you have no choice but to feel it. For me, competition is something that excites me."

Lee is the current NXT North American Champion, having successfully defended his title against Dominik Dijakovic at NXT TakeOver: Portland.
