Keith Lee is headed back to the independent scene.
Per an announcement made by the promotion's Twitter account, Keith Lee is set to return to the independent scene for the first time since 2019 when he teams with his AEW partner Swerve Strickland at an upcoming Wrestling REVOLVER event. Strickland and Lee are set to take on the team of Rich Swann and Matthew Palmer at the 'Tales Of The Ring' event, which takes place on September 17 in Clive, Iowa.

The match comes after Strickland turned on Rich Swann at REVOLVER's 'Cage Of Horrors' event that took place earlier this summer. Fans can see an video of the incident below.

Strickland and Lee currently reside as the AEW World Tag Team Champions. The duo won the belts back on the July 13 edition of Dynamite.
Lee's last match on the independent scene was on a PROGRESS show back in 2019. On that show, Lee and Matt Riddle lost to Tyler Bate and Trent Seven in a tag bout.
