Ken Anderson Tells A Story About JBL Turning The Crowd Against Him With His Entrance In Italy: ‘I Have Never Experienced The Type Of Heat He Generated’

JBL once made an Italy crowd chant their national anthem as a response to his entrance.

Recently, Ken Anderson was a guest on Elite Wrestle Talk on 99.9 Punk World Radio FM, where he recalled his experience working with JBL.

Anderson said that he never saw anyone else generate heat with fans like JBL. He recounted JBL’s entrance in Italy one night and how he managed to turn the entire crowd against him just with his entrance.

Anderson called it the “heat version” of Bad Bunny’s entrance at Backlash 2023 in Puerto Rico, where the Latino star made the crowd sing “Chambea.”

“I have been in countries around the world with JBL, I have never experienced the type of heat he generated. The boos would make your skin rumble, it was so loud, so deafening. “We were in Italy one night, and I was injured. I tore my Lat earlier in the tour, so they were having me announce the main event. The main event that night was JBL vs. Mark Henry. “They had me announce JBL, and he started singing America the Beautiful, and he sang it terribly, completely off key, and all at once you hear the crowd start this, they were chanting almost, and it just got louder and louder, and they were singing their own national anthem, and the building was rumbling, it was such a cool experience. “It was the opposite of, you ever see when Bad Bunny came to the ring in Puerto Rico? It was the opposite of that. The heat version of that.”

Some time back, on his podcast, Anderson shared his thoughts on Jon Moxley vs Darby Allin’s I Quit at WrestleDream. Fans can read his comments here.
