Kendal Grey Discusses NXT Women’s Title Win: “It Was A Moment I’ll Never Forget”

The new NXT Women’s Champion Kendal Grey.
Headlining the 2026 NXT Great American Bash Premium Live Event was Lola Vice defending the NXT Women’s Championship against Kendal Grey.
The bout concluded with Grey hitting a ‘Shades of Grey’ onto Vice to secure the win and the title. Following her title win, Grey sat down with Busted Open’s Dave LaGreca and opened up about her victory.
“I was speechless, honestly, but, it’s just proof that all of my hard work is finally paying off and this is just the start so, I have a lot of work to do still…
This is like my third time trying to chase the NXT Women’s Championship. The first time was against Jacy Jayne at New Year’s Evil, lost. Stand & Deliver in a Triple Threat against Lola (Vice) and Jacy, lost. So in this moment when I was going into this match, I was like, it’s all or nothing… When I heard the one, two, three, I just — I don’t know. I was smiling ear to ear. I was speechless. Hearing the crowd, hearing all the energy in there. It was a moment I’ll never forget for sure.”
Elsewhere during the chat, Grey spoke highly of her opponent, Lola Vice.
“I have a lot of respect for Lola (Vice) too. I think Lola is amazing at what she does and what she did in Bellator MMA. I think us coming from the same background, we have an understanding of what it takes, what sacrifices it takes to do that kind of physicality and do those kinds of sports so I think we do have a level of respect… Hopefully down the line, we run into each other again, and nothing but nice things to say for sure.”
