Kendal Grey Ends Lola Vice’s Undefeated Streak In NXT Underground Matches, Retains NXT Women’s Championship
Kendal Grey scores the win over Lola Vice.
Closing out the August 4th edition of WWE NXT on The CW was an NXT Underground match for the NXT Women’s Championship. Kendal Grey went into the bout as champion and defended against Lola Vice. Vice had a 4-0 undefeated record in Underground matches.
There was a point in the match when Grey was sent into the ring steps, and her ear started bleeding. A bandage was put around her head, and she continued.
Vice accidentally struck referee Adrian Butler and knocked him out. She proceeded to trap Grey in a submission and choked the champion out, but the referee was not there to end the match and crown Vice the champion.
While Vice was checking on the referee, WWE Women’s Speed Champion Wren Sinclair made her way to ringside to motivate her partner Grey. Grey would go on to lock Vice in an armbar and make her submit.
Post-match, Grey and Vice shook hands and embraced each other.
