King also commented on his extension in the interview, noting that he's excited to stay with the promotion.

"The news is that your boy is staying put man. I felt like I had a really good year in IMPACT Wrestling and I feel like there's so many more things to do and so many more opponents that I've never even faced. Josh Alexander, Moose, Steve Maclin, that's just a shortlist of guys that I'm eyeing and targeting. So, I've signed another year deal with IMPACT Wrestling. King, K-I-N-G will remain in IMPACT Wrestling for the foreseeable future, or at least this year. I'm really happy to announce that and I'm excited for what this year will bring."

King has had multiple stints in IMPACT Wrestling and most recently returned in February 2022 as part of Honor No More after Ring of Honor went on hiatus. King first appeared in IMPACT in 2005 for a short stint before making his first return in 2014.

King is a former two-time X-Division Champion. He recently faced "Speedball" Mike Bailey in a Fight Pit match on the January 19 episode of IMPACT, losing by KO.
