Kenny Omega Accepts The Challenge Of Defending The IWGP Heavyweight Title Against Kota Ibushi And Cody

Will the match be made official?

The main event of last night's NJPW 'Fighting Spirit Unleashed' pitted The Golden Lovers (IWGP Heavyweight Champion Kenny Omega & Kota Ibushi) against 'CHAOS' members Kazuchika Okada and Tomohiro Ishii. The two sets of duos took the fight to one another for over twenty minutes but in the end the Golden Lovers emerged victorious from the match when Kenny Omega and Kota Ibushi delivered the "Golden Trigger" to the side of the head of the "Stone Pitbull".

Following the match The Elite side of Bullet Club joined Omega and Ibushi in the ring. Omega went on to speak to the crowd and then spoke to Kota man to man. Omega stated that he and Ibushi were going to have their singles match at 'King Of Pro Wrestling' on October 8th but quickly making his way to the ring as Kenny said that to Ibushi was Cody who won the IWGP U.S. Heavyweight Championship in the match prior to the main event. Instead of Kenny Omega versus Kota Ibushi, Cody proposed that the main event of 'King Of Pro Wrestling' should be Kota Ibushi versus Cody versus Kenny Omega for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship. The champion gladly accepted the match and although it has yet to be made official by New Japan Pro Wrestling, Kenny Omega is green on defending the title in a Three-Way come October 8th.
