Kenny Omega Confirms Planned Time Away From AEW TV

Kenny Omega confirmed that he will be taking time away from AEW TV, saying he has upcoming “specialized hospital visits and work that had been planned for a year.”

Omega continued, “I’m just trying to improve what I can and represent the company in a positive way while not performing.”

Kenny Omega was effectively written off AEW TV on Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite when Kyle Fletcher delivered a brainbuster off the apron and through a table on the outside. Omega was stretchered out of the arena following the show.

Time off?

Fightful Select reported on Thursday, “Sources in AEW confirmed that the angle to write Kenny Omega off is because he had planned time off around this time of the year going back months. They said that Omega has a trip over to Japan planned. It had been reported he was wrestling through pain, which he confirmed, but from what we understood, that has been the norm for him for a long time and he pretty well knows it will be moving forward.”
