Kenny Omega Documentary To Premiere On TSN On March 27

The long-rumored Kenny Omega documentary has a premiere date. The documentary, entitled "Omega Man: A Wrestling Love Story," is set to premiere on TSN on March 27.

Here's the synopsis:

Veer Released By WWE

Winnipeg-born Tyson Smith, better known by his ring name, Kenny Omega, is the most famous wrestler you’ve never heard of. After opting out of a career with the WWE to pursue a role in the New Japan Pro-Wrestling, he skyrocketed to fame. Produced by Jockumentary Productions Inc. in association with Bell Media, directed by Yung Chang, and executive produced by Dale Burshtein.

Omega's documentary is part of a series of six documentaries on TSN called "Engraved on a Nation," about unique Canadian sports stories. Fans can view the trailer here.

Writer and producer on the documentary Corey Erdman tweeted about the premiere, but the tweet has since been deleted. There was an error in the initial tweet -- New Japan Pro-Wrestling was written as New Japan Pre-Wrestling -- which could be the reason for the deletion.

Omega commented on the release on his own social media account:

Omega's contract with NJPW is set to expire at the end of the month. He is still part of the Being The Elite series. You can view the latest episode here.
