AEW announced that Jon Moxley will face Kenny Omega on the May 10 episode of AEW Dynamite inside a steel cage.
Following Wednesday's AEW Dynamite, Jon Moxley accepted Kenny Omega's challenge for a cage match. Omega issued the challenge in a post-show segment after Konosuke Takeshita was gouged by Bryan Danielson and the BCC with a screwdriver.

Moxley and Omega have a storied rivalry in AEW with Moxley debuting by attacking Omega at AEW Double or Nothing 2019. Omega defeated Moxley to win the AEW World Title at AEW Winter Is Coming 2020 and defended the title against Moxley in an exploding barbed wire deathmatch at AEW Revolution 2021, which was the last singles bout between the two men.
