Kenny Omega has been getting some coverage from WWE.
For the third time in the last two weeks, Kenny Omega has been mentioned by WWE online. First the WWE website published an article about his upcoming video game showdown with Xavier Woods at the E3 convention. Then an episode of WWE Now mentioned Omega again, his recently acquired IWGP Heavyweight Championship, and that he would be teaming with the Young Bucks to take on the New Day in Street Fighter V. The video called the event a "dream match."
On Thursday, WWE released a Hidden Gem video on the WWE Network of Omega in Deep South Wrestling. The video has Omega's promo and match against Cru Jones. In 2005 and 2006 when Omega was in Deep South Wrestling, it was part of the WWE developmental system.
Jones left Deep South Wrestling in 2007 and wrestled for another five years.
Fightful Wrestling will have coverage of the video game contest between the New Day and the Elite and any future acknowledgment of Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks.
