Kenny Omega Responds To Criticism Over AEW Not Signing Deonna Purrazzo

Deonna Purrazzo is headed to IMPACT Wrestling as a vignette aired to mark her impending in-ring debut on Tuesday's IMPACT.

Purrazzo was released by WWE on April 15 as part of the company-wide cutbacks after spending the majority of her run in NXT with a couple of matches on WWE Raw. Purrazzo never picked up a TV victory, but is a respected name known for her technical prowess in the ring.

One fan in particular was disappointed Purrazzo isn't joining AEW and decided to come after AEW co-executive Vice President Kenny Omega for "dropping the ball."

Omega responded to the criticism with the following tweet:

Omega has been dealing with criticism of the women's division since AEW started. In April, he discussed his frustrations with the division. You can view his comments by clicking here.

Fightful will have live coverage of AEW Dynamite beginning at 8 p.m ET on Wednesday.
