Kenny Omega is a little banged up.
While playing Mario Party on the Being The Elite Twitch channel, Omega was asked how his foot was. He IWGP Heavyweight Champion was dealing with a cracked heel during the G1 Climax tournament over the summer. Omega injured himself on the Terminator dive in the G1 Special in San Francisco bout against Cody. Despite the injury, he worked the entire G1 tournament without a noticeable issue.
After explaining that his foot was fine, Omega revealed that he's been working with a fractured rib.
"My ribs are in a bad way. But what can you do? I'm not one of those guys that likes to brag like, 'Hey, I'm injured but I'm so tough that I'm going to keep fighting.' It's not like that at all. You just gotta do what you gotta do. You just gotta go when you're the champ. You can't take days off."
Omega recently wrestled Cody and Kota Ibushi in a triple threat bout at NJPW King of Pro Wrestling. Much like his G1 performances, there seemed to be no noticeable injury. He's not currently scheduled to be part of NJPW's Road to Power Struggle tour, which runs from Oct. 16 to Nov. 1. However, he will be part of Power Struggle on Nov. 3, teaming with Kota Ibushi against Hiroshi Tanahashi and David Finlay.
