Kenny Omega To Defend AEW World Title Against Kevin Knight At AEW Redemption
Kenny Omega will defend his title at AEW Redemption.
This week’s episode of AEW Dynamite featured a big AEW World Championship celebration for the ‘Best Bout Machine’. After a brief interaction with the Young Bucks, Omega was joined in the ring by Will Ospreay.
Ospreay celebrated Omega’s title win before Kevin Knight made his entrance. ‘The Jet’ reminded Omega that he’s still owed a title shot from when MJF was the champion.
Omega pushed back on that, but decided to award Knight with a match at Redemption just because he’s a nice guy. In terms of his alliance with the Don Callis Family, Omega questioned Knight’s mindset. Then, he said that he knows there is still goodness left in Knight’s heart.
Knight validated Omega’s general points before saying that there is only greatness in his heart. After attacking the champion with a microphone, Knight was chased out of the ring by Ospreay.
