El Hijo del Vikingo will make his AEW debut on the March 22 episode of AEW Dynamite.
In a tweet on March 17, AEW president Tony Khan confirmed that Vikingo will face former AEW World Champion Kenny Omega in a singles match. He noted that the dream match between the two had been postponed in 2021, but fans will get to see it on AEW Dynamite.

Vikingo is the reigning AAA Mega Champion. He was scheduled to challenge Omega, the reigning champion at the time, for the title in 2021, but Omega relinquished the gold due to injury. Omega then missed several months as he recovered from a number of injuries, and he later returned in August 2022.
In recent months, Vikingo has wrestled for DEFY Wrestling, GCW, and Warrior Wrestling in the United States. He is the reigning Warrior Wrestling Lucha Champion.
