In recent years, there has been a major shift in the media world that has allowed influencers or popular content creators to enter different forms of entertainment with little to no experience. Outside of the obvious wrestling examples like Logan Paul, this issue has plagued Hollywood as well, with influencers often beating out known actors for film or television roles.
In a new interview, Kenny Omega and Adi Shankar engaged in a passionate conversation about the issue. This prompted Omega to make a bleak predicition about the future of the industry, half-way joking that we're on a path where Logan Paul vs. Mr. Beast could main event WrestleMania.
“I’ve said it before, I don’t think — I don’t know if I’ve ever said it publicly or not, but I mean, I think we’re headed on a path where it’s like, a couple of WrestleManias down the road, the main event’s gonna be Logan Paul vs. Mr. Beast. It’s like, what is the wrestling acumen? How many miles have they put into it? It’s like, does it matter? This is process of evolution.”
Paul has competed at the last four WrestleMania events, winning three of those matches.
