New GHC Heavyweight Champion is crowned.
Closing out day one of Pro Wrestling NOAH’s ‘New Departure’ event was a GHC Heavyweight Championship bout that saw OZAWA defend against Kenoh.
The conclusion of the bout saw Kenoh knock OZAWA out with a kick to the head. Kenoh won the match via referee’s decision and became the new GHC Heavyweight Champion.
Kenoh is now a four-time holder of the GHC Heavyweight Title. OZAWA’s reign clocked out at 199 days. He won the belt in January at NOAH The New Year.
Immediately after winning the title, Kenoh presented KENTA with an opportunity to challenge for the belt. Their match will take place at New Departure day two on July 20th.
