KENTA Shares That He & Katsuyori Shibata Have Talked About Touring American Indies Together
The idea of it has been discussed between the two.
There’s an extensive interview with KENTA on Rolling Stone Japan’s website. As the conversation moved along, KENTA was asked about reuniting with Katsuyori Shibata at TAKAYAMANIA EMPIRE IV in September 2025. The main event of the show saw KENTA and Shibata face Minoru Suzuki and Naomichi Marufuji.
KENTA told the outlet that he and Shibata have talked about the idea of touring the American independent wrestling scene together.
“We’ve even talked about things like, ‘We should tour the American indies together someday,’ whenever that might be (laughs). In that sense, it’s still a dream that we’d like to make come true at some point.”
KENTA is signed with Pro Wrestling NOAH and is coming off a GHC Heavyweight Championship reign. Shibata is signed to All Elite Wrestling and is a member of The Opps alongside Powerhouse Hobbs, HOOK and AEW World Champion Samoa Joe. Shibata is an AEW World Trios Champion.
