Kenzie Paige feels divine intervention may have been involved in her NWA Women's World Title match at the Crockett Cup with two legendary names.
Kenzie Paige will next defend the NWA Women's World Championship against WWE Superstar Natalya on May 17, 2025, at NWA Crockett Cup. Legendary wrestler Gail Kim will also be the special guest referee for that match.
Paige was a fan of both women growing up and recently spoke with Bill Pritchard of WrestleZone about her connection to Gail Kim and how special it is for her to be paired with both women going into an event like the Crockett Cup.
"I was a huge Gail Kim fan. I also obviously don't bother her, but I have tried to stay in contact and send matches as I've progressed and gotten better, because she is someone personally [whose opinion] I really care about. [She's] seen me from when I was way younger, wrestling Jordynne Grace on the independent scene to now, she's my special guest ref against Nattie Neidhart. So for what it's worth, she's got to see a little bit of my growth, in my evolution, as I say. So that's a really, that is a very another, like a very big deal to me in my personal life, to see everything kind of come in to play. It's all one big circle for me. So to have her as a special guest ref, once again, like I said, I've tried to keep her up to date with what I'm doing, and everything that I've done thus far. So for her to be a part of this big moment in this big matchup is almost like God set that up for me."
