Kevin Knight discusses this Wednesday’s ‘Rebel Heart’ AEW Dynamite, noting that the roster will have Rebel and Andy Williams on their minds.
This week’s edition of AEW Dynamite will support Rebel and ALS with AEW Rebel Heart Dynamite on September 9 from Akins Ford Arena in Athens, GA. The show will feature several big time matches, including a tag team table match between Kevin Knight, Kyle Fletcher and The Young Bucks.
While speaking to 11Alive in a new interview, Kevin Knight spoke about this week’s AEW Dynamite, first discussing what it means for the roster to come together for Rebel.
“We’re gonna go out there and give everything that we got for Ms. Rebel Heart. She was a staple in our company back in the days, even before I got there. So you’re gonna see me and my partner tomorrow, Kyle Fletcher, we’re going against the Young Bucks. We’re not really on the same page, but for the sake of Rebel Heart, we’re gonna put our differences aside and… stake our claim as one of the best tag teams in the company and everybody else on that card, whether it’s the New Level, we got Swerve, we got so many people that are willing to just put their life on the line and we’re going to make it a special one. I’m going to make it a special one. It’s going to be very special.”
Knight would then discuss the late Andy Williams, noting that the show will be all the more special as talent also remembers ‘Butcher.’
“You know, I never got to meet Andy Williams. He was there before I got to AEW, but from what all the stories that I’ve heard, everything that I’ve seen on social media, he was a lovely guy. Nobody had anything ever negative to say about him, and man, he was just such a creative and inspiring person from what I could sense, and I really wish I could have met and connected with him, but again, we have two people on our minds going into tomorrow’s show, and it’s going to make it that much more special, so… It’ll be a good one.”
Elsewhere in the same interview, Knight spoke about his wrestling style. You can read more about that here.
