Kevin Nash: CM Punk's WWE Raw Promo, 'Felt Very Contrived'

Kevin Nash weighs in on CM Punk's first WWE Raw promo.

Last Monday, CM Punk made his first appearance on WWE Raw since 2014 and addressed WWE fans for the first time in nearly a decade. Punk was all smiles as he said most people were happy to see him and that he was "home."

Kevin Nash didn't think it was the CM Punk that many fans have come to know and love.

"I thought the glad-handing on the way to the ring was not him. For somebody that was so 'pipe bomb,' it felt very contrived. At the end, it was like, 'Oh shit, I better slip this in so I have some credibility.' [Quoting Punk], 'I'm not here to make friends, I'm here to make money.' I've heard that before," Nash said on Kliq This.

Scott Hall and Nash famously said they were not around to make friends, they already had friends in The Kliq, but they were there to make money when they jumped from WWE to WCW in 1996.

Nash was seemingly speaking about the "character" of Punk, who was known for going against the grain and challenging the company.
