Kevin Nash: WWE Would Rather Have Ten .300 Hitters Than Have Ty Cobb

Throughout history, WWE has always had a face of the company, from Hulk Hogan to Steve Austin and The Rock to John Cena. Roman Reigns ascended to that level as the Tribal Chief, and Cody Rhodes has dubbed himself QB1, but Kevin Nash believes the philosophy has changed.
Speaking to his co-host Sean Oliver on Kliq This, Nash was asked if WWE had a talent problem as Oliver didn’t think any group or individual was standing out the way Scott Hall, Hulk Hogan, and Nash did as the New World Order.
“The system of creating talent now is not to allow somebody to be fucking irreplaceable. They would rather have ten .300 hitters than have Ty Cobb or Ted Williams,” he said.
Cobb was a career .366 hitter with a career best of .419 in the 1911 season. Williams hit .344 for his career with a peak year of .407.
Oliver said that they have ten .220 hitters.
Nash replied, “I wouldn’t say that. I’d say you have ten .275 hitters. I think Roman sticks out, still, as above.”
Oliver still questioned WWE having ten total .275 hitters.
Nash went on to praise Randy Orton as someone who should be utilized more. You can find his full comments here.
