Kevin Owens Qualifies For 2021 WWE Money In The Bank Ladder Match

The field for the Money in the Bank Ladder Match continues to fill out.

On the July 2 episode of Friday Night SmackDown, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn faced off in a Last Man Standing Match with the winner qualifying for Money in the Bank. The bout was announced last week by Adam Pearce not too long after Sami was caught boasting about defeating an injured Owens at Hell in a Cell.

The contest was highly contested with Zayn coming close on a number of occasions. Throughout the match, Sami hit the Helluva Kick three times and also sent Owens flying through a pair of tables. It was Owens who would eventually emerge victoriously after power bombing Sami through the announce table, through another table, and then onto the ring apron.

Before the climactic sequence, Sami asked Kevin how they got there. Kevin and Sami have been feuding since before WrestleMania 37, with Owens trying to stun his longtime friend back to reality.

KO joins Riddle, Ricochet, Drew McIntyre, John Morrison, and Big E in the MITB Ladder Match.
