Kevin Owens Returns At WWE SummerSlam

Kevin Owens is back in the mix.

Starting the action of WWE SummerSlam night two was the advertised singles match between Sami Zayn and Finn Bálor for a shot at the Undisputed WWE Championship.

SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis appeared and revealed that joining the match would be GUNTHER, and then another talent was added to the match to make it a Fatal 4-Way: the returning Kevin Owens.

Owens has been out of action since undergoing neck surgery in 2025. As a result of his injury, Owens had to miss WrestleMania 41, where he was scheduled to wrestle Randy Orton.
