Kevin Sullivan Believes LA Knight Can Be WWE's 'Lead Dog' And A Good World Heavyweight Champion

Kevin Sullivan comments on LA Knight's popularity and gives his opinion on what his ceiling could be in WWE.

The 'YEAH!' Movement is in full force as LA Knight continues to grow in popularity with each passing week. Many in the WWE Universe are clamoring for the former Eli Drake to capture gold in WWE, and Knight himself thinks it's only a matter of time before everybody realizes whose game it is.

Kevin Sullivan, the former booker for WCW, has worked with generations of uber-popular babyfaces, from Hulk Hogan, Sting, and Randy Savage to Booker T, Dusty Rhodes, and Diamond Dallas Page.

On his most recent Tuesday with The Taskmaster podcast, Sullivan was asked if he sees a scenario where LA Knight will be able to capture World Championship gold in WWE. Sullivan absolutely believes that Knight can be the top dog in WWE and praised how he was able to get himself over.

"LA Knight, this is one of those things where he got over on his own, and he's done an incredible job," said Sullivan. "I could see him being champion. The other thing is, he has so many opponents to work with that he could have a hell of a run, and the next guy that steps up once you beat LA Knight, he can have rematches around. He can have 3-Ways, they've got an abundance of talent. To answer the question, yeah I easily could see LA Knight being the lead dog there."

Asked if he could see Knight winning the World Heavyweight Championship, currently exclusive to Monday Night Raw, before transitioning into a potential run with the Undisputed WWE Universal Title, Sullivan says he can see the newly-created title being used as a test run for Knight.

"Yeah, I definitely do. Don't you? It's almost like you can see that they've stuck their toe in the water a couple of times, and they've debated, 'Oh, is it too cold, not cold enough?' or whatever. So let's stick our ankle in and give him the other belt first. That's what I see, too.

Currently, LA Knight is featured on both WWE Raw and WWE SmackDown. Knight is a Friday Night SmackDown talent, but after winning the Slim Jim Battle Royal at WWE SummerSlam, he has been appearing on both shows and feuding with The Miz.
