The Von Erich family is one of the most famous in the world of professional wrestling, with Kevin Von Erich, Kerry Von Erich, David Von Erich, Mike Von Erich and Chris Von Erich all being siblings in the family. For Kevin, he feels like his family were looking to change wrestling.
While speaking to SA Live in a new interview, Kevin Von Erich was told by the hosts that they were happy to have him on, with Kevin noting he was too before noting that he believes AEW is changing wrestling.
“Me too. Because my brothers and I wanted wrestling to come to a point. We kind of wanted to change it, and I’m telling you, AEW today is reaching that. It’s there. I’m telling you, the athletes, I’ve watched the Hangman. Their champions the Hangman. There’s other athletes that are really good. I mean, they don’t waste motion. They don’t hesitate on anything. To hesitate is to lose. I mean, in wrestling, you react quickly. That’s the whole thing. My sons are going to be there. It’s going to be a great night.”
Jarrett Reddick of Bowling For Soup recently noted that Kevin labeled him an honorary Von Erich. You can read more about that here.
