Kia Stevens (Awesome Kong) Comments On How Her Career Would Be Viewed Without Gail Kim’s Involvement: “I Think Respectable, Yet Nothing Special”
Kia Stevens says there’s not one wrestling-related appearance she does where Gail isn’t brought up.
The on-screen history between TNA Hall of Famers Kia Stevens (Awesome Kong) and Gail Kim is well documented. The two talents had a multitude of matches against each other in TNA Wrestling.
Stevens guest appeared on Busted Open and talked about her rivalry with Kim. During the chat, she was asked how she thinks her career would be viewed without Kim’s involvement, and here’s how she responded:
“I think respectable, yet nothing special. Maybe some honorable mentions here and there. But everywhere I go, there’s not one signing, one appearance that I go to where there isn’t one person that says I love the matches with you and Gail (Kim). In Communications, that’s taking a survey, and survey says that’s what’s cemented for my success, and long-lasting legacy — just throwing words out there — but the feud I had with Gail.”
