Killer Kelly Is Certain That If Not For The Women's Revolution, She Would Not Be In NXT UK

Killer Kelly goes over a number of topics during this interview including how much the women's revolution helped her.

The 26-year old Portugal-native Killer Kelly is a part of the ever-growing NXT UK brand and also works for wXw in Germany where she was the promotion's inaugural champion. Killer Kelly is the first Portuguese wrestler to compete in WWE and she credits being added to the WWE roster to the women's revolution. Killer Kelly believes that had it not been for the rise of women's wrestling in the sports-entertainment company, she would not be a part of the fray. She echoed those sentiments while speaking with 'Dario de Noticias' and also said that she wants to capture the NXT UK Women's Title and then move on to the main roster to win either the RAW or SmackDown Women's Titles.

WWE SmackDown (4/19/2024) Results: Bayley vs Naomi, LA Knight vs AJ Styles, The Bloodline, AOP, More

"Rousey Rousey was the biggest star in the UFC and WWE got [her] with results. We're worth the same as men, or maybe even more. If it were not for the so-called Women's Revolution, I am absolutely certain [that] they [would not have] caught up with me. It has helped me a lot and it's a great time to be a wrestling fighter. Great time. We have more opportunities, more fighting, bet more on us," she rejoiced. "First I want to win the NXT UK Women's title, then move to America, be part of RAW or SmackDown, win a title and have a fight at WrestleMania."

Two months into her run in wXw, Killer Kelly became the promotion's inaugural champion. She stated that it made sense in some aspects for wXw to make her champion because she was the girl that left Portugal to chase her dream and trained at the wXw Wrestling Academy.

"At the time it made sense for them to put me as the first female champion of the promotion. Perhaps because the girl left Portugal to follow her dream and came from the wXw [wrestling academy]," she recalled. "There are a lot of people who say that it is indifferent to give them titles or not. It was very special for me. It was wXw acknowledging that I have moved from Portugal specifically to be with them, to train with them and to be part of the shows. But I realized, I was not prepared to be a champion at all. I understood of course."
