Khan became a person of interest after an examination of security camera footage shot in the area of his restaurant 'izakaya.'

In December, the Shinjuku Police Station sent Khan to prosecutors on suspicion of violating the Road Traffic Law regarding hit-and-run and negligence resulting in injury.

“I know that I struck the woman, but I had to go to my nearby [restaurant],” Khan said at the time. “I am sorry for injuring [her].”

Khan retired from wrestling in 1987. He famously feuded with Andre The Giant throughout the '80s and worked many house show loops on top against WWF Champion Hulk Hogan.
