King Trevor Murdoch: CM Punk Always Had A Connection To The People, You Can’t Learn That

King Trevor Murdoch discusses CM Punk.

CM Punk has always been quite natural when it comes to his promos. He’s one of those wrestlers who can talk about anything, and the fans will pay attention to him all throughout. Murdoch recognized this about The Cult of Personality early on when he worked with Punk.

Speaking with Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful for a new interview, King Trevor Murdoch was asked if there was any wrestler he kept running into.

“The one guy I kept running into was CM Punk. Especially when I went down to IWA Mid-South, down in that part of the country. You could tell he had a connection to the people. You can’t learn that. It’s just an emotion. Most guys don’t have that and are still chasing it to this day, trying to get that connection with the people. Punk always seemed to be one of the guys that stood out.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Murdoch talked about his Japan run and reunion with Vader in WWE. Fans can read his full comments here.
