Kishin Liger Appears At NJPW Destruction In Kobe, Tries To Devour The Soul Minoru Suzuki

A wild Kishin Liger appears.

Needing to match the maniacal Minoru Suzuki, Jushin "Thunder" Liger transformed to Kishin Liger at NJPW Destruction in Kobe. Liger and Suzuki have been at each other's throats for the better part of 2019 with Suzuki taking it up a notch at Destruction in Kogashima when he unmasked Liger and said he wanted "the real Liger."

Suzuki got his wish at Destruction in Kobe when Liger unmasked himself to reveal Kishin Liger; his rarely used alter ego. In the world of manga, Kishin refers to humans who become monstrous creatures by devouring the souls of innocent people. Suzuki might not be a righteous man, which gave Liger all the more reason to try and eat his soul.

Kishin Liger has made just three other appearances prior to returning to battle Suzuki. He first appeared in 1996 against Great Muta, came back in 2006 to battle Bad Boy Hido, and most recently showed up in 2012 thanks to Taichi.

It is unknown when Liger and Suzuki will settle their score in the ring.
