Kizuna Tanaka is back after suffering a major injury.

Dream Star Fighting Marigold talent Kizuna Tanaka is back in the mix after being sidelined in January when she suffered an ankle fracture and dislocation.

She looked back on the injury while chatting with ENCOUNT. She shared with the outlet that doctors informed her that the bone was very close to piercing through her skin, which is why she had to undergo three surgeries.

“I went to the hospital right after the match, but the bone in my ankle had completely dislocated… and it was very close to going all the way through my skin. As a result, I ended up having three surgeries.” She continued, “Actually, right after the injury, my mind went completely blank, and I don’t remember when I was given general anesthesia and had surgery.”

Tanaka’s last documented bout was on November 3rd at an independent show in Kanagawa, Japan. She is 21 years old.
