Knockouts World Championship Match Made Official For TNA Slammiversary

The partners-turned-enemies will clash at the pay-per-view over the Knockouts World Title.

The next pay-per-view on the docket for TNA Wrestling is Slammiversary on June 28th from Agganis Arena in Boston, Massachusetts. A Knockouts World Championship match has been added to the show lineup.

There was an intergender singles match between Mr. Elegance and the Knockouts World Champion Léi Yǐng Lee on the June 4th Thursday Night iMPACT. Xia Brookside got up from the commentary table to distract her former partner, Lee, which ended up costing Lee the non-title bout.

Post-match, Brookside got into the ring to stand over a laid-out Lee and announce that at Slammiversary, she’ll be challenging for the Knockouts World Championship. Brookside earned the opportunity by pinning Lee in the Champions Challenge match on May 28th.

Brookside turned on Lee at the Rebellion pay-per-view, and now they are set for a title match at Slammiversary. Below is the updated lineup for the 6/28 pay-per-view:

  • TNA X Division Championship — Ultimate X Match: Cedric Alexander (c) vs. Leon Slater vs. TBA vs. TBA vs. TBA vs. TBA
  • TNA Knockouts World Championship: Léi Yǐng Lee (c) vs. Xia Brookside
