Kofi Kingston weighs in on Eric Bischoff's new role.
WWE shocked the world on June 26 when they announced that Paul Heyman and Eric Bischoff were the new executive directors of Raw and SmackDown. With Bischoff taking the reigns of SmackDown, he will be working closely with current WWE Champion Kofi Kingston.
Speaking WFF, Kofi gave his thoughts on Bischoff and Heyman being named executive directors.
"This is amazing news. I think everybody will benefit from having two of the greatest minds in the history of wrestling actually dictating storylines and developing characters. It's a plus for everybody involved. For people on the roster looking to have character changes, people looking to have different and unique rivalries. I think it's a great situation, especially for the fans. You guys get to witness the results of these creative minds getting back into the business at the highest level. I'm really excited. I'm looking forward to working with Eric Bischoff on the SmackDown brand."
Earlier this week, Bischoff stated that he would be attending his first SmackDown production meeting prior to last night's SmackDown. Speaking of last night's SmackDown, Kofi Kingston officially challenged Randy Orton to face him at SummerSlam.
