Kona Reeves Would Like To Get Into Acting

Kona Reeves has been relatively silent since being released by WWE in August, but he hopes to pop up on some screen soon enough.

Reeves last wrestled on the February 19, 2020 episode of NXT, losing quickly to Keith Lee. He was used on and off on television until April 2018 when vignettes aired dubbing him "The Finest" Kona Reeves.

Speaking on Teasy's Table, Reeves discussed some of his future plans.

"I would love to act. That's probably the biggest thing that's been on my mind lately. I love wrestling and have been wrestling for 12 years. 12 years of my life have been in professional wrestling. Sometimes, I want to pursue something else. Definitely acting, I love acting," he said.

Reeves named Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan, Jet Li, Jim Carrey, and Adam Sandler as some of his influences and favorite actors.

Fightful Select posted the following update on Kona Reeves on June 13:

We've had a lot of inquiries for an update on Kona Reeves, who has been out of action for over 15 months following a surgery. We're told he's been back at the Performance Center for quite some time and is more than good to go, and has been making creative pitches for a significant character change based on what we've seen of him in the past. Reeves was briefly given a push in 2018 before being pushed back down the card, but we've had numerous guest coaches specifically point him out as someone they've enjoyed working with when they came in for spots at the Performance Center.

Reeves did wrestle at Pennsylvania Premiere Wrestling in September.
