Konnan Wrestling For First Time In Five Years

Konnan will be in the Battle Riot at Major League Wrestling.

Earlier this week Major League Wrestling announced Battle Riot which will be a 40-person battle royal style match with a street fight element. Names like Pentagon Jr, Jack Swagger, and Rich Swann have already been announced as participants and now former NWO member and current LAX member Konnan will be wrestling in the match according to MLW.

More participants will be announced on the Fusion television show which airs Friday at 8 pm on the beIN Sports Network.

Konnan has not wrestled since 2013. He was in WCW in the early 2000s but did not move to WWE after the buyout like so many other WCW stars. He spent the next decade wrestling for independent promotions, Impact Wrestling, and Lucha Libre promotion AAA. He is currently on the Impact Wrestling television product and hosts his own podcast Keepin' It 100.

Fightful Wrestling will continue to provide updates on MLW's Battle Riot which takes place on July 19th and there will be results and coverage afterwards.
