Konosuke Takeshita Says The Bloodline Storyline Is Better Than The Elite, Kenny Omega Jokingly Agrees

Konosuke Takeshita acknowledges The Bloodline.

The Bloodline storyline has been featured on WWE TV since 2020, as Roman Reigns has reigned supreme as the Universal Champion. He reunited with The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso), and the duo later won the SmackDown Tag Team Championship. All three stars eventually became undisputed champions; Reigns beat Brock Lesnar to win the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 38, and The Usos defeated RK-Bro (Randy Orton & Riddle) to win the Raw Tag Team Championship in May 2022. The stable gradually grew to include Sami Zayn and Solo Sikoa, though Zayn later turned on the group. The storytelling along the way has been praised as some of the best content in the wrestling world.

Likewise, The Elite (Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson), and Hangman Page) have been involved in a lengthy storyline that has included friendship, betrayal, and a number of highs and lows. Omega and Page won the AEW World Tag Team Championship, and they later split up and feuded over the AEW World Championship. The Young Bucks have been a key part of the storyline as well, and the program has been heating up throughout The Elite's feud with Blackpool Combat Club (Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta, and Bryan Danielson). Meanwhile, Konosuke Takeshita has recently become an honorary member of the group.

On the latest episode of Being The Elite, Matt Jackson tried to give Takeshita a summary of The Elite's long-running story in AEW. Takeshita seemingly looked bored, and when Matt asked him about it, the fan-favorite replied by saying that he doesn't speak English very well. Matt walked away, and Nick Jackson chimed in by saying The Elite's storyline was unmatched in wrestling history, though Takeshiita disagreed.

"It's okay. Bloodline much better," Takeshita said.

Later in the show, Nick approached Kenny Omega backstage and told him about what Takeshita said. It seemed like Omega was initially upset, but then he joked that he could see where Takeshita was coming from.

Nick Jackson: You won’t effing believe this. You won't believe the problem I just ran into.

Kenny Omega: what’s wrong? Who shit in your Wheaties?

NJ: Takeshita thinks there’s a better story going on in wrestling than ours?

KO: Are you serious? Well… oh, The Bloodline, right? Of course. I mean, we’re just a cheap copy anyway. Ah, it’s nothing to worry about, whatever. It’s all good. We’re still second-best. Third? Second, third? Not bad. I believe their story. I don’t believe what we’re...

Omega then trailed off as Nick started laughing as the episode came to a close.

The Bloodline's storyline will seemingly continue on the May 1 episode of WWE Raw; The Usos lost to Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens on the April 28 episode of WWE SmackDown, and Paul Heyman had teased that anything other than w victory would have major consequences for the duo.
