Konosuke Takeshita To Be In Action For DDT Pro-Wrestling One Day Before NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 20

Takeshita to wrestle the night before the double title bout at Wrestle Kingdom.

Konosuke Takeshita is the reigning IWGP World Heavyweight Champion. He is contracted to AEW, NJPW, and DDT Pro-Wrestling.

Takeshita is currently competing in AEW’s Continental Classic tournament. As of this writing, he is leading the Blue League with six points. The finals of the Continental Classic are taking place on December 27th at AEW Worlds End.

Coming up for Takeshita is his double title match at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 20 on January 4th, 2026, at the Tokyo Dome. He will put the IWGP World Heavyweight Title on the line against IWGP Global Heavyweight Champion Yota Tsuji.

It has now been announced by DDT Pro-Wrestling that Takeshita is scheduled to be in action for them on January 3rd, the day before the double title match at Wrestle Kingdom. Takeshita’s match for the DDT show has not been announced.
