The finish saw Yano threaten to stab Owens with scissors, which was enough for Owens to quit.

The KOPW Trophy is decided in a stipulation match where each wrestler picks their stipulation and the fans vote on which stipulation will be used. Yano chose the No DQ I Quit match stipulation, which won the fan vote over Owens' choice of a Texas Strap match.

The man who holds the King of Pro Wrestling Provisional Trophy at the end of the year will be crowned the King of Pro Wrestling. Yano is the reigning 2020 KOPW. He lost the trophy to Owens in the New Japan Ranbo with Handcuffs at NJPW Wrestle Grand Slam on July 25.
