NJPW has unveiled the full list of stipulations for the first round of the KOPW Title tournament.
With all eight competitors announced, all stipulations have been proposed and fan voting has.begun. Per the rules of KOPW title matches, each wrestler makes a proposal for a stipulation in their match, with fans voting on which stipulation will actually be used.
Out of the eight wrestlers competing in the tournament, only SANADA did not actually propose a unique stipulation given how he wants a match where one makes their opponent surrender which is redundant as his opponent SHO proposed a submissions match.
Below are the matches and stipulations for the first round of the KOPW Title tournament taking place at Korakuen Hall on August 26. Voting can be done at this link.
- Kazuchika Okada (1 vs 3 handicap in Takahashi's favor) vs. Yujiro Takahashi (Lumberjack with Leather Belt)
- SHO (Submissions Match) vs. SANADA
- Toru Yano (Two-Count Pinfalls) vs. BUSHI (Five-Count Ringouts)
- Satoshi Kojima (Finishers Only) vs. El Desperado (No Finishers Allowed)
The winners of each match will face off in a four-way match at Summer Struggle in Jingu on August 29 where the winner of that match becomes the new KOPW Champion.
