Kota Ibushi Accepts Tetsuya Naito's IWGP Intercontinental Championship Challenge

Kota Ibushi and Tetsuya Naito will meet once again.

Kota Ibushi was victorious in the main event of NJPW The New Beginning in Hiroshima night two, successfully defending the IWGP Heavyweight and Intercontinental Championships against SANADA. Ibushi finished off the Los Ingobernables de Japon member with the Kamigoye.

After the match, the two men shook hands as a sign of respect.

But Ibushi wasn't done with LIJ.

Longtime foe Tetsuya Naito strolled to the ring and issued a challenge to Ibushi for not two, but just one of his championships. Naito has his sights set on the IWGP Intercontinental Championship, not wanting Ibushi to unify the belts. Ibushi accepted the challenge.

No date was given for the match. NJPW's next big event is a two-night Castle Attack event on February 27 and 28 in Osaka-Jo Hall.

Ibushi defeated Naito at Wrestle Kingdom 15 night one to capture the IWGP Heavyweight and Intercontinental Championships.
