Kota Ibushi Says His Happiness Comes From Seeing Fans Excited: “Leg Broken, No Problem… Shoulder Broken, No Problem”
Ibushi gets a rush from seeing fans excited to watch him perform.
Kota Ibushi is currently recovering from a broken femur injury he suffered in October 2025. He underwent a second surgery in 2026.
There’s an interview with Ibushi that was conducted by Monthly Puroresu (via Alessandro of HypeTalkTV). He said his happiness derives from seeing the audience excited. He’ll push through any pain if he’s getting that desired reaction.
“Even if my body breaks, it’s fine. It’s okay if I break, but if everyone gets excited, everyone’s happy — because I want to see their faces. For that, I’ll do anything. Anything… Reaction. Reaction happy? Ah, okay… Leg broken, no problem. Shoulder broken, no problem. People bring gifts, gifts, gifts, gifts… That’s what my happiness is.”
