Kris Statlander Has No Regrets Signing With AEW Over WWE

Kris Statlander has climbed the AEW rankings in short order. Making her Dynamite debut on Nov. 27, Statlander found herself challenging for the AEW Women's Title less than two months later.

Along with AEW, Statlander had heavy interest from WWE. She had been used as an extra and enhancement talent in WWE in the past. In the end, she decided to sign with AEW.

"The whole thing with 'WWE was interested in me' also. There was a lot of stress because I didn't know what I was going to do," Statlander told Alicia Atout"I didn't know what was the right choice. You would think 'it's a dream come true for anybody to be offered a contract' but for me, getting signed was never an actual legit goal of mine in wrestling. I was like 'Am I going to be happy? Is this something I want to do?' I was very nervous and stressed. But I am thoroughly enjoying all my time that I've been with AEW and all the opportunities they've given me so far. No regrets about it."

Brandi Rhodes said in a December interview with Bleacher Report that she suggested AEW sign Statlander. On-screen, Brandi tried recruiting Statlander into the Nightmare Collective, but Statlander turned down the offer.

Statlander will team with Hikaru Shida to take on Awesome Kong & Mel at AEW Bash at the Beach.
